Water Heater: 120°F Max

At 140°F, a child can suffer third-degree burns in 2.5 seconds. At 120°F, you have over 30 seconds to react. Check your settings today.

Never Leave Baby Unattended in Bath

Drowning can happen in inches of water within seconds. If the phone rings, wrap baby in a towel and bring them with you.

Hardware-Mounted Gates Only at ArrowUpDown

Pressure-mounted gates can fail under pressure. Only hardware-mounted gates (bolted to wall) are safe for top of stairs.

Furniture Anchors Save Lives

A falling TV delivers hundreds of pounds of force. Anchor bookshelves, dressers, and TVs before baby starts pulling up (around 6-9 months).

Crib Safety: Bare is Best

✅ Safe Sleep Environment

  • • Firm mattress with tight-fitting sheet only
  • • Nothing else in crib (no pillows, blankets, toys)
  • • No crib bumpers (federal ban in effect)
  • • Room share (not bed share) for first year
  • • Slats no more than 2 3/8" apart

❌ Never Use

  • • Drop-side cribs (banned since 2011)
  • • Crib bumper pads (suffocation risk)
  • • Loose bedding or soft objects
  • • Positioning devices
